Motorola Mobility may soon announce a new member of its Moto Z family of smartphones. It is allegedly called Moto Z Play. The new handset can be seen in a few photos that show a white version. This comes not long after other leaked images revealed a black model.
This is not a high-end phone like the Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid that are already available in the US. But it does look a lot like its more advanced siblings.
It has a fingerprint scanner in front, and a round, protruding camera with dual LED flash on the back. Also, the Z Play will most likely be compatible with Motorola’s Moto Mods too in case you were wondering. The Moto Z Play has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB or 64 GB of expandable storage space, and a battery of at least 3300 mAh. The Moto Z Play runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but it is very likely a certainty that it’s going to be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat at some point very soon.
No details yet about its price or release date, but it should be cheaper than it’s siblings.
