A new innovative and very original style of printer based on a pen plotter has been created by the Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories called the WaterColorBot and has been designed to provide a friendly and educational art robot that paints with watercolors.
The WaterColorBot uses vector artwork on your PC to create its master pieces and can even follow you movements in real time as you sketch. Watch as the WaterColorBot wets its bruch, selects the right colour of paint, and paints before your eyes.
“The WaterColorBot works with standard watercolor paints and paper, so that you never need to purchase specialized or expensive supplies. It is made in the USA with a tough and sturdy wooden frame to last for years of use.
The WaterColorBot comes as a kit, with some assembly required. The major components (chassis, carriage, and motor controller board) come pre-assembled. It also comes with a starter set of watercolor paints, paper, and a brush. Please see the FAQ below for a more detailed list of the kit contents.”
The WaterColorBot project is currently over on the Kickstarter website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production. So if you think WaterColorBot is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help WaterColorBot become a reality.
