One of the biggest titles of 2014, Watch Dogs, is finally headed to the Nintendo Wii U. Thanks to Ubisoft Mexico jumping the gun on its Facebook page, we now know the game’s release date. They have since pulled the post, but an official confirmation came soon after when Ubisoft confirmed the release date.
The release will be in November, which we had already heard from rumors. The Wii U’s GamePad will be used for looking at a “detailed and interactive” map of Chicago and it has also been confirmed that Off-TV play will be supported by Watch Dogs on Wii U as well.
Players can expect a slightly different experience on the Wii U thanks to its GamePad. Hopefully they will like it. Ubisoft Romania is independently working on the Wii U version of Watch Dogs, and back in March they were still figuring out how to best include the GamePad in the player’s experience. The Wii U version ended up being initially delayed. At least we have a date now and your wait won’t be too long. The release for Wii U is going to be on November 18th in North America and Europe will have to wait until November 21st.
