Watch Dogs was intended for multiple platforms, like the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Wii U. The game is scheduled to be released later this year, between the April 1st to June 30th, but there is more bad news for Wii U gamers. Sadly, you guys will be out of luck yet again as Ubisoft has confirmed that they will not be releasing the game for the Wii U the same time it is released for other platforms.
The game will be released at a later unknown date. Ubisoft says that, “We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft.”
The weird thing is that this statement comes after the company expressed their confidence in the Wii U platform last year, so maybe they lost that confidence along the way. At least the game isn’t cancelled entirely. Just delayed. Still, this is another blow for Wii U gamers. Sorry guys and gals.
