Harry Potter is going mobile. And no, I’m not talking about riding his high powered broom all over the place. Starting next year, Harry Potter fans will be able to create their own characters and experience life as a Hogwarts student thanks to an officially-licensed game called Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
You can be a witch or wizard as you progress through school years just like Harry and friends did. You will attend magic classes like Defence Against the Dark Arts and Potions, with Hogwarts professors. Sounds pretty sweet huh? This is about the only school you should ever be excited about attending if you ask me.
While we’ve had plenty of Harry Potter-themed games, this is the first that comes with Warner Bros’ official seal of approval. It will launch under the company’s Portkey Games label, which is dedicated to games inspired by JK Rowling’s Potter world. Fans should love this one since it is official. HP fans are sticklers for canon after all, so let’s hope they get the details right this time.
The game will be available next year though we don’t have a date yet. It will arrive on the App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore.
