Vuzix has announced that its Wrap 920 video glasses have been discounted for Black Friday and Cyber Monday and they now support 3D. The 3D support will work on YouTube for watching 3D video. The 3D effects will work on a PC or iOS devices.
The price has been cut by $50 for the holiday shopping season. You will be able to get them on Cyber Monday via the Vuzix website for $249.99. The glasses look somewhat like sunglasses. In person you can tell they are not sunglasses though and they have a strange look to them
The little screens where lenses would be simulate a 67-inch screen from 10-feet away. Power comes from a pair of AA batteries and these video glasses will fit over most prescription glasses. Paul J. Travers, Chief Executive Officer, commented, “The expansive library of videos in both 2D and 3D on YouTube, combined with the portable large screen theater of the Wrap 920, makes for a viewing experience like no other. 3D is in the mainstream and our Wrap 920 now takes advantage of beautiful 3D in an affordable and convenient package for all users.”
