We heard the other day that there were several World of Warcraft gamers who received a notification informing them that a package from Blizzard had been sent to them. Well now we know exactly what it is that Blizzard is sending them.
The package is a World of Warcraft statue which also celebrates that particular gamer’s 10-year subscription to the game. That’s not a bad way of saying thank you.
The wording on the base of the statue reads, “The orc statue is a constant presence in our life at Blizzard entertainment. It’s where we meet to talk, to eat, to celebrate. As we celebrate ten years of World of warcraft, we present this token of appreciation to you, stalwart adventurer. Thank you for being a constant presence in our lives as we adventure together.”
Not all gamers qualified to receive the statue. It looks like only gamers who have subscribed to the game for a long time are eligible to receive it. Sorry to the rest of you. Apparently players had to have created and signed up for a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game’s release in America or Europe. So there won’t be that many of these statues around to buy. It will be interesting to see what these sell for on eBay.
