Can you believe that 10 years have passed since Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was first released? It seems like yesterday. If you enjoyed that game back in the day, you might have felt a bit nostalgic yesterday when rumors started circulating that this title was going to be re-released on the Xbox 360.
Would they really release it again? Well yes. Yes they would. Rockstar has confirmed the updated Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for Xbox 360 and it brings full Achievements support and improved 720p graphics. Sounds awesome.
Considering the changes that Rockstar has made to the title it sounds like it would be worth paying some money for it once again. The Xbox Originals version of the game has been removed from the Marketplace because GTA: San Andreas for Xbox 360 will now be available for purchase via Games on Demand starting on October 26th.
There will be games support for Achievements, improved 720p resolution and improved draw distances. If you purchase this updated title you should know that it will not be compatible with the Xbox Originals version so saves won’t be transferred between the two. Those who own the Xbox Originals version will have to access it through the console via the download history, where there will be an option to purchase the updated version. Long time fans will want to check it out and see how it compares to the original.
