When the Wii U was launched, developers and retailers were not happy at how poorly the console was doing. However with the Nintendo Switch, developers and retailers are eager to work with the console. They are pretty happy and optimistic about the console’s future in fact.
Ubisoft is one of these companies. During the company’s recent financial call, CEO Yves Guillemot was quoted as saying, “So yes, this relationship continues to grow, and we are very happy with what we were able to achieve with Mario + Rabbids. Let’s also not forget the fact that Just Dance is also a big seller on the Switch, and that will continue to follow the growth of that machine.”
Guillemot also reveals that the company has plans to do more for the Switch in the future, but of course he can’t share the details about that just yet. “And yes in the future we are going to do more things – we just can’t go over that right now.” It is rumored that South Park: The Fractured But Whole could be coming to the Switch, but Ubisoft has not confirmed this. We will learn more about this in due time and get more details soon.
