Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics released the latest Tomb Raider game in 2013 after a delay and while the game managed to sell 1 million copies in 48 hours, and 3.4 million in retail, it was a disappointment to Square Enix. They projected 6 million. Even so, get ready for a sequel.
This sequel was confirmed by Square Enix CEO of the Americas and Europe, Phil Rogers. Rogers was quoted as saying, “I am also excited to reveal that we are well into development on a next-generation Tomb Raider sequel – something you may have heard about recently!”
We have no idea when to expect it, but at least we know it is coming. Hopefully this one will do even better.
