Titanfall was a very successful game even though it was an Xbox exclusive. It was also released for PC. We heard last year that Titanfall 2 is going to be multi-platform and that it could have a traditional single-player campaign too. And now in a new interview Jesse Stern, the lead writer who worked on the first game as well, confirms that Titanfall 2 will have a single-player campaign. Many fans will love this addition to the game.
Stern says that Respawn Entertainment actually started developing Titanfall 2 in late 2014, but isn’t sure if the title will be released in late 2016 or in early 2017. Hopefully the former. EA previously said that Titanfall 2 will be released in the fiscal 2017 year, which runs from April 1st, 2016 to March 31st, 2017. Let’s hope that they can hit that target.
He also said that multiplayer is going to be “even better,” and he believes that Titanfall 2 will be released on both PlayStation and Xbox. That would be great for those who don’t own an Xbox. The story is going to be about “grand colonial warfare,”. Basically the retelling of the American Revolution and the America Civil War, but in space. That sounds pretty awesome to us.
In other news, Stern revealed that a Titanfall spinoff TV show is in the works at Lionsgate TV too.
