Stun guns are everywhere these days and they are so common now that it seems like police use them too liberally. But they aren’t the only ones that have them. The image above is not really an iPhone, but a conversion of Apple’s smartphone with a built-in stun gun that dispenses 50,000 volts. Holy ouch!
That can easily cause a heart attack. This stun gun was discovered by the police after they searched a 14-year-old in Manchester city center. The boy also had a knife. It’s good that they got this off the kid. Who knows what havoc he would have caused otherwise.
Sgt. Phil Marsh said, “It has the appearance of a black iPhone but the volume buttons are more prominent. The top has a silver strip with two points from which the current is discharged. The volume buttons appear to activate the device. People need to be aware that possession of them is an offence under the Firearms Act.”
Apparently, this device can be purchased for just £15 on the internet, where it has been specially marketed as personal protection devices. That’s a scary thought.
