Fans are eagerly awaiting the standalone Star Wars Han Solo movie. What the studio hadn’t confirmed, though, was the actual title. Well now we have that news. The movie’s director Ron Howard has just confirmed the Star Wars Han Solo movie title.
Ron Howard confirmed that the movie is going to be called Solo: A Star Wars Story. Makes sense. Solo: A Star Wars Story is the second standalone movie in the universe after Rogue One was released last year. That movie did very well at the box office, bringing in over $1.06 billion worldwide.
Production on the Han Solo movie began several months ago and it was originally being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. However, creative differences had Ron Howard stepping in as the director. The cast features actors like Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Thandie Newton.
We don’t know much about the actual plot, so we will have to see what sort of a story they are telling. Han Solo is one of the most beloved characters of the Star Wars universe, so we hope it does him justice. It’s nice to hear that things are moving forward and to learn the title.
