Many players have been waiting for the latest Dark Souls game and now it is here. But if you are already excited about add-on content for the game, you probably won’t like this news very much. Well, it isn’t the end of the world, but it is some sad news.
You’ll have to wait until this fall to play anything beyond what’s in the base game. This news is from UK site Videogamer. And even then, that’s only the release window for the first of two post-launch add-ons. So it looks like we have quite a wait.
Right now, other details are not available, but we know that we can expect new bosses and enemies in addition to gear for your undead warrior. You just have to wait a bit. This is more of the trend of publishers wanting you to buy season passes for additional content, often months in advance of release, without giving players any idea of what their money gets them. It’s not very cool.
Dark Souls 3’s pass costs $25, so we are expected to spend money when we have no idea what we’re getting or when. Hopefully this trend changes soon, because it isn’t fair to us.
