If you are a fan of Narnia, you’ll be happy to know that a new adaptation of the Chronicles of Narnia is headed to Netflix. The company has confirmed that it has acquired the rights to the series from writer C.S. Lewis. The official Chronicles of Narnia Facebook page says that this is the first time that the rights to all seven books have been acquired by any one company. So it looks like we are in for a lot of content.
“CS Lewis’ beloved Chronicles of Narnia stories have resonated with generations of readers around the world,” said Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos, who added that “Families have fallen in love with characters like Aslan and the entire world of Narnia, and we’re thrilled to be their home for years to come.”
He didn’t specify what content we will be seeing Netflix create, but it would seem that both movies and series are being planned. Netflix has yet to confirm when we’ll start seeing this content. If you are a fan of this classic series, Netflix will be the place to view it very soon.
There have been many adaptations of the Chronicles of Narnia over the years and this may be the most complete yet.
