Taylor Swift has conquered music and now she wants to do the same with our smartphone displays. Game publisher Glu Mobile has announced the development of a new game in partnership with the star. Apparently this won’t be a mere one-off cash grab, but a multi-year collaboration that will create a “new, one of a kind digital gaming experience”.
Taylor Swift fans will be thrilled to hear this news.
Glu is very happy. “We realize that her global fan base expects a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience,” said CEO Nicolo de Masi, assuring fans that the company is “committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor’s unique creativity.” Glu previously launched the very successful “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” so it knows what it is doing. That game generated $43 million in its first three months and holds top ratings in the App Store and Google Play.
It will be a while before we get to play the game, but the title is scheduled for “late 2016”. Glu hasn’t announced the platforms, but it’s a pretty sure bet that the game will hit Android and iOS. I bet it will be even more popular than their other games they made.
