Super Mario on an iPhone just doesn’t seem right, but we are happy to have the plumber on iOS. At the iPhone 7 event, Apple and Nintendo revealed that Mario would make his way to iOS devices this December. And now we have the exact date: December 15th.
That’s when Super Mario Run will be available to play on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The app itself is free, but you won’t have access to all of it. You will only be able to play parts of the game’s three modes until you pay additional money. To unlock the full game, you’ll have to pay $10. Not a bad price really. We are talking Mario here. Our favorite plumber in the world. It’s Mario!
Super Mario Run will be available in 151 countries and in 10 languages including English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and traditional Chinese. He has hit the bigtime landing on Apple devices everywhere. You’ll just need to make sure you have a device that runs iOS 8.0 or later in order to play it in a few weeks.
It will also be coming to Android. The company has just not announced when, but it will happen eventually and then Android users can play too.
