We have some awesome news for Street Fighter fans today. We are all Street Fighter fans aren’t we? Check this out. At Sony’s Paris Games Week on Tuesday, Yoshinori Ono, the mind behind Street Fighter 5, delivered a bunch of stunning revelations that you will want to take note of.
The first thing that you will want to know is that Dhalsim, everybody’s favorite fighting yogi, will be among the 16 playable characters when the game launches. Pretty cool right? The second but of news is that the game will hit North American and European store shelves on February 16th, 2016. And it is about time too. That’s not a terribly long wait after the wait we have endured already.
Finally, and this is maybe the most exciting revelation of them all. Ono-san also announced that six additional characters will be available within the very first year of gameplay. These will be unlockable for free using the in-game “fight money” currency. That’s pretty cool of them. We don’t need any DLCs with a fighting game like this. I know that I would rather earn these characters the old fashioned way: by beating up on people. I think it is far more rewarding that way.
