Way to go Steam! Steam has been setting new concurrent user records over the past couple of years. They aren’t losing any Steam either. It’s a very popular service among PC gamers and it just keeps getting more popular.
In fact, Steam has set a new concurrent user record. Steam reached 15 million concurrent users for the first time ever. Now that is quite a milestone.
Concurrent users is a measure of how many people were logged into Steam at a certain point in time. Just the other day more than 15 million people were logged into Steam at the same time. This is a first for Steam. Back in January the service’s status page revealed that a new concurrent user record had been set at 14 million.
And before that, the last Steam concurrent users record was back in January 2016 when it had more than 12.3 million people logged into the gaming service at the same time. So they have been growing and growing all this time. It will be interesting to see where these numbers go from here and how high they go. I suspect they will continue this trend for quite a while to come. You can bet they are celebrating right now.
