Movie scripts have to be protected because they tell the whole story of the movie. So movie studios are very protective of these scripts and in some cases, certain actors are only given parts of the script that are related to them in order to keep things secret. This helps to prevent leaks and spoilers as the actor in question won’t know too much about what’s going on.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was almost ruined when the full script for the movie made its way onto eBay for sale. This news comes from an interview that the movie’s director JJ Abrams did with Good Morning America. He revealed that one of the actors of the movie left the script in their hotel room and it was found by someone cleaning the place.
The script later made its way onto eBay where it was put up for sale. According to Abrams, someone at the company noticed that this was a legit Star Wars script and they managed to get it back quickly without any problems, and that is why there have not been any spoilers related to the movie so far.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is currently set for a release on the 20th of December.
