We just can’t get enough Star Wars.S o it’s good that next month, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit cinemas, and even better is that the movie will be the longest film in the Star Wars franchise so far.
It has a running time of 150 minutes including the credits. The second longest Star Wars movie was Revenge of the Sith, which is 140 minutes.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens came in at 124 minutes, so moviegoers will be able to enjoy almost 30 minutes more content than we had previously. As long as it is quality, I don’t care how long it is. Next year we are expected to get the Han Solo standalone movie as well, plus there’s Disney’s recent announced live-action Star Wars TV series too. So we have a lot of Star Wars on the way.
Disney has also announced that they will be launching a new trilogy of Star Wars films which will be helmed by Rian Johnson, the director for The Last Jedi. So we can expect a ton of Star Wars-related content for years to come. The future is filled with it. Right now Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on the 15th of December in the US.
