We have some good news today for those who have been waiting for EA’s next Star Wars game. The publisher has revealed in its quarterly earnings announcement that the next Star Wars title is going to be called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It’s going to be released this fall.
The company had previously said it would be out at some time in 2019. We have a more precise date now.
“The game’s development is led by the former director of the God of War series, with a team of veterans from some of the industry’s biggest action-adventure games. It’s very far along in development, and having spent time with it recently myself, it plays spectacularly well,” EA CEO Andrew Wilson said.
The story-focused Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is being developed by Respawn, the studio best known for the Titanfall series. The studio recently released Apex Legends, a battle royale title that’s set in the Titanfall universe as well. Initial reports show that it’s doing great since launch.
EA hasn’t given us a concrete release date yet, just that the game will be out in the fall of 2019. Star Wars fans can expect it at that time and it will hopefully be worth it.
