Star Wars: Episode VIII has been scheduled for a release on December, 2017. So we still have a year of waiting. Waiting is the hardest part. The good news is that we might have some interesting news to share.
Like a potential title for the upcoming movie that was revealed in a recent trademark filing.
According to a report from Attack of the Fanboy, the title, “Star Wars: Forces of Destiny” was trademarked in Europe. The filing reportedly took place on the 8th of December by LucasFilm, so this was only last week. The movie has apparently finished filming by now, so you would think that the official title would already have been settled. And maybe it has. We don’t know if this is the title for sure. It could be for a video game or something else.
Prior to The Force Awakens, there were quite a few rumors regarding alternate/possible titles for the movie, so for all we know, “Forces of Destiny” could simply be one of the options they are looking at. In the meantime Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set for a release later this month and should give us some Star Wars action in the meantime.
