The newly released iOS title Star Wars: Commander lets players side with either the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire. So depending on your choice, you will meet heroes like Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Leia on the battlegrounds, or fly TIE fighters and hang out with stormtroopers. Light or dark. Choose your side.
The game actually has a storyline takes place between Episodes IV-VI as the Galactic Civil War rages on. There will be characters from the expanded universe in the game as well as they have lots of stories to draw upon. You may be playing for some time so the game will be regularly serviced with new content, which will include new planets and missions to keep you busy.
Star Wars: Commander is a free-to-play title and Disney promises there are no elements of “pay to win”, and all story content, PVP campaigns, time-limited campaigns, and free missions are available without paying a dime. We certainly like that news. The game matches players by skill level, so it will be fair and balanced. If somebody levels up faster because of purchases, the game will put them against players of matching skill. Star Wars: Commander is available in the App Store right now. An Android version is coming in a few weeks.
