Good news Star Wars fans. The Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi is joining the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 roster next week. EA has confirmed that Ewan McGregor’s version of Kenobi will have two Appearances. The first is his default Jedi Master Appearance and the second is a robed costume which is similar to his later incarnation. Kenobi fans have been waiting for this.
James Arnold Taylor, a veteran of The Clone Wars animated series, will be voicing the character in the game. EA says that it’s aiming for the best likenesses of the real-life actors who played these characters. This is why Obi-Wan Kenobi is modeled after Ewan McGregor’s portrayal in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. It looks like they did a good job.
Kenobi’s blocking skills are the best of any other Jedi in the game with stamina and powerful, chained melee attacks, so this will be fun. The Restrictive Mind Trick Ability lets you disrupt the target’s Abilities to outsmart them as well.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will be available in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 on November 28th with the Battle of Geonosis update. The character who trained and fought alongside Anakin Skywalker is in the game at last. Anakin Skywalker is also coming to Battlefront 2 in February of next year as well.
