Sony has this week added a new addition to their range of Bluetooth smartphone receivers, in the form of the newly launched Sony SBH52 handset.
The Sony SBH52 connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth and provides a handy handset you can use to take calls with. Watch the video after the jump to see the Sony SBH52 in action.
The Sony SBH52 has been designed to go hand-in-hand with the Xperia Z Ultra and features an FM radio and OLED display which displays caller ID, music track information, the time or even text messages. The case of the Sony SBH52 is also waterproof and supports NFC connections, and can connect to two devices simultaneously. Sony explains:
“With this innovative handheld audio accessory, you can enjoy a comfortable and easy calling experience. The person you are talking to will experience crystal clear voice audio during the call – Smart Bluetooth® Handset SBH52 is HD Voice enabled. When a call comes in via your smartphone, you can see who’s calling in the SBH52 display. Press once to answer. You can use the SBH52 to view recent calls and call again directly. Move around freely and leave your phone in your pocket, bag or anywhere within Bluetooth® range (up to 10 meters). For a handsfree calling experience, connect the headphones (supplied in kit).”
Unfortunately no information on pricing has been released as yet but the Sony SBH52 is expected to launch in the third quarter of this year. As soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always. For more information on the new Sony SBH52 jump over to the Sony website for details.
