It’s been two years since Sony launched the PlayStation 4 Pro, the most powerful console it has ever made to date. But many complained about the console being too noisy and that’s something that Sony has since addressed in a hardware revision. Now it has quietly rolled out a new PlayStation 4 Pro model that doesn’t make as much noise as the original one did. It is the quietest yet.
Eurogamer says that the new CUH-7200 series of the PlayStation 4 Pro has an updated internal design which significantly reduces the noise problem to make it the quietest PS4 Pro model you can buy.
It looks like this model is only available with the Red Dead Redemption 2 bundle right now but it may not be long before it is available on its own. Sony mentions the model number on the front of the console’s package so it’s easy to tell which model you’re getting. Red Dead Redemption 2 bundles with the CUH-7216B designation come with this console.
The core power package of the console is the same. Your other PS4 Pro will perform just as well as this model, it just won’t be as quiet. Sony has made some tweaks to the internal design and other components to make the machine much quieter.
