Sony is celebrating the launch of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain by launching several new products with the title’s branding. And now the company has launched a Metal Gear Solid-branded Walkman. It’s a rebranded version of the ZX2 Walkman to be exact. It’s available for about the same price as the normal ZX2, which is close to $1100.
This customized Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain ZX2 Walkman has the game’s title in front and it comes with a leather case that has the logo of the title’s Outer Heaven mercenary group. It looks pretty cool.
It also comes with four wallpapers from the game pre-installed on the Walkman and copies of HD songs from the title as well as original packaging. If you want a Phantom Pain-branded product but don’t want to spend more than a thousand dollars you do have some other choices.
Sony is selling similarly branded Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3 Compact smartphones. Phantom Pain-branded editions of the J1 Compact and NW-A16 Walkman are also available and all of them cost much less than the ZX2. So fans of the game have many options for some cool branded devices.
You can find the items on Sony Japan’s website. We have no idea if the company ships them over to other parts of the world.
