Sonos has today released a new update for its Android and iOS applications bringing with it a number of new features and enhancements for users to enjoy including a new user interface and enhance universal search.
The latest Sonos application supports Sonos version 5.0 and any device running iOS6 and above, or Google’s Android 2.1 operating system and above and will soon be available to download from the Google Play Store.
The Sonos application allows users to explore 38 music streaming services which is being expanded as new services are added and currently include services such as Songza, Hype Machine, Pandora, Google Play and Shuffler.fm to name a few.
The new Sonos universal search feature now offers one window for users to quickly search across all their music services making it easier to discover or find their album of choice on new releases. Sonos explains:
“Search for a track and discover all the versions across services including live performances, remixes and covers. Click the search icon in the top right corner of the Menu.”
Other new features within the latest Sonos app update include enhanced playlists, alarms, rooms and more. For more information on the new Sonos app update jump over to the Sonos website for details.
