Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls VI will not be coming for a long time. We have a long long wait. But until then, gamers will have the upcoming remastered copy of Skyrim to keep them busy.
However if you are hoping for a brand new game, or at least getting some extras in the remastered copy of the game, you might be disappointed. In a post on Twitter, Bethesda’s VP of marketing Pete Hines answered a question by a gamer asking what we can expect in new features.
Hines’ reply was, “Not that I’m aware of. Not changing features or content like that.” This is not very surprising. This is after all a remaster, not a remake. If Bethesda had promised a remake then we would expect new features, but since it is a remaster, new graphics are pretty much all we have here.
Still, we can always hope for a few new features or improvements here and there. It just wont happen in this case. Gamers will still enjoy playing the game with some refreshed graphics though, since it is an expansive and solid game already. The remastered copy of Skyrim has been set for a release this coming October.
