Although we’ve already seen two Steve Jobs biopics following the Apple founder’s death, many people have been waiting for the project happening at Sony Films. Aaron Sorkin has finished the screenplay, the project has a director, so now is when the cast is coming together. The latest news on that front is that Seth Rogen is in talks to play Steve Wozniak in the film. Yeah, I can see that. It’s a good choice.
The reports are mixed on this news. The Wrap says Rogen is under consideration, while Variety says he has signed on. The Hollywood Reporter says that Rogen hasn’t officially signed on to the movie, and that it isn’t even clear if a formal offer has been made to the actor. I hope he has signed on. He seems perfect for the role.
Rogen seems to be the top choice of the film’s producers anyway. He would be partnering with Christian Bale on screen who has the title role of Steve Jobs. Even if Seth Rogen does take on the role of Woz, he may not have a big part in the movie, since it is rumored to be focused around three major Apple announcements. Woz wouldn’t be around for most of these. Hopefully we will hear more soon.
