If you have an iPhone 5 and you need more than your basic protection from the case, a company called Seidio has announced that it is now shipping a new case for the iPhone 5 called the OBEX. This case is exceptionally rugged and will protect the phone from drops from up to 4 feet.
The case will also protect the phones from complete submersion in water. The case meets military standards and has a screen protector that lays against the iPhone screen preventing watermark effects and retaining screen clarity.
The OBEX is shipping right now for $79.95 and a version that comes with holster is available for $89.95. The company also makes the same case for the Samsung Galaxy S III. The downside to this topic case is that it will add significant bulk your device.
