Those backgrounds used on TV news shows are not real. Most of us know that they use green or blue screen to use images that look real. During a news reports on Denmark’s TV2, a screenshot from Assassin’s Creed was used as the background image, showing the skyline of Syria about 720 years ago.
Someone at the station messed up big time or they got pranked. It looks like the image was taken from the game’s unofficial Wiki site.
This isn’t the first time a news channel has confused real life with video games. Back in May of 2012, the BBC used the insignia of Halo’s United Nations Space Command by accident.
