Today marks another netbook launch that I bet some have been looking forward to landing on Amazon. The Samsung NC215 is a very cool and unique netbook and it is on pre-order right now. You can get the little 10.1-inch screen netbook for $399. We talked a bit about this netbook back in June.
The feature that stands out on the NC215 is that it has a solar panel that dominates the rear lid of the machine. That solar panel will help the netbook run longer. I’m not sure exactly how fast the panel will charge the netbooks batteries, but I don’t expect much speed. Other than the solar panel, the machine is your average netbook.
It has a 10.1-inch screen with 1024 x 600 resolution with a matte surface. It runs a dual-core Atom N570 CPU and has 1GB of RAM. Storage is to a 250GB HDD and the machine has Bluetooth, WiFi, and runs Windows 7 Starter.
