It looks like Samsung is expanding its “mini” mania beyond smartphones. We all know that the company has launched mini versions of its flagship smartphones, but we would have never guessed that they would do the same for its NX cameras. It is an unexpected move, but hey, why not? Pictures of a Samsung NX mini camera have leaked online.
You can tell just by looking at it that its much smaller in size compared to Samsung’s NX1000 and NX2000 cameras. One thing we don’t see is the rotary dial on top that we’ve seen on other Samsung cameras for switching modes. And we don’t know much about the specifications of Samsung NX mini, however rumor has it that it may be powered by Tizen, like the NX300M camera.
Slides leaked along with the camera’s pictures show that changeable mirrorless lens kits will be offered too, alongside of this new mini camera. It may also have a 2,330mAh battery allowing up to 682 photos on one charge and optical image stabilization. The slides suggest that the base model of the Samsung NX mini is going to be sold for €499. That’s about all we know at the moment.
