In January, Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. We learned recently that the tablet would come in new color options. And now it looks like there is a kids version of the tablet which will arrive in March to keep the little ones busy.
This kids version of the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will be available in Taiwan for $175, but we don’t know if it will be limited to the Taiwanese market, or if it will also show up in other markets. As far as features, it will come with some kid-friendly options.
There is Samsung’s Kids Mode software which makes the tablet easy for children to use, some kid-friendly apps that are educational and entertaining, and you can download additional kids apps from a kid-friendly app store too. Of course it has parental controls as well so that parents can control what their children view. The tablets will come in pink or blue pastel colors. The device features a 7-inch 600×1024 display, a dual-core 1.2GHz chipset with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage expandable via microSD, a 3,600mAh battery, and Android 4.2.2. It also has a rear-facing 2MP camera.
