The Samsung Galaxy S4 is still kicking around even with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S5. Now we have a newly launched version of the Samsung Galaxy S4: the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition. This device will arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat at launch.
Remember when in March of this year, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Value Edition was revealed? That model came with a fair number of updated specs compared to the original Samsung Galaxy S3. You might think that might be the case with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition. Well, it doesn’t look like that is the case.
It will be the same as the regular Galaxy S4, although the back cover’s design seems a bit different and it has Android 4.4 KitKat running right out of the box. So there’s that. So since the original Galaxy S4 has already received the Android 4.4 KitKat update a long time ago, we aren’t sure what the point is here. The device has rolled out in the Netherlands and will be available in white and silver for €398 without a contract.
