Some of the first 4G LTE enabled Android smartphones have gone on sale in the UK today, the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE, the HTC One XL and the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE.
Mobile carriers T-Mobile and Orange, who have formed the partnership for the UK’s first 4G LTE capable network, EE, have started selling the first Android 4G LTE devices in the UK.
Whilst you will be able to purchases these 4G LTE Android devices from either T-Mobile or Orange, you won’t be able to use the 4G LTE until EE’s LTE network launches in the UK.
Although both carriers have said that anyone who buys a 4G LTE enabled device will be able to switch to their EE 4G LTE network, as yet no details of how this will be done or if any costs will be involved have been revealed.
