We;ve heard rumors for months that the Samsung Galaxy S III would be coming for T-Mobile, but now there is hard evidence from the FCC. The Galaxy S III is indeed coming to T-Mobile. A Samsung SGH-T999 has shown up at the agency, with newly added 1,700MHz AWS support.
It also packs in 850MHz and 1,900MHz WCDMA bands for HSPA+ data instead of just voice. Just to put the icing on the cake, a related Galaxy S III entry was also spotted at Bluetooth SIG with a familiar-looking image and a Samsung-hosted user agent profile on the web that matches the Android 4.0 hardware.
So there is no doubt about it. We don’t know yet if the T-Mobile version is different on the outside, but I’m sure we will find out before the summer US launch. If you have been waiting, the time is coming soon.
