If you have been wondering when Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S III would be getting updated to the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.1 Android Jelly Bean, Samsung has now announced when the update will be available for the smartphone.
Samsung has told the guys over at Cnet that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S III will be released in October, although no specific date was given.
So it looks like the unlocked version of the Samsung Galaxy S III will get the Android 4.1 update in October, whether or not the various mobile carriers will release the update at the same time remains to be seen.
As soon as we get confirmation of the exact date that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be released for the Samsung Galaxy S III we will let you guys know.
