Samsung introduced the Galaxy A8 last year and it seems the company is preparing to launch its successor in the coming weeks. Samsung has already released successors for other members of the Galaxy A family so it’s not too far fetched to assume that Galaxy A8’s successor is on way as well.
Recently, the alleged Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) made an appearance on GFXBench, revealing what we can expect from the handset.
The smartphone made an appearance on GFXBench carrying a SM-A810 model number which is likely to be the Galaxy A8 (2016). As per the benchmarking website, the handset comes with a 5.1-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels with the processing handled by Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Other listed features includes a 16MP rear camera for photos and videos, 5MP front-facing camera, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
It’s worth mentioning that the display size may turn out to be 5.7-inch as spotted on Zauba for the same model number. Additionally the current Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with a 5.7-inch display as well so it’s unlikely that Samsung will reduce the screen size.
We’ll update you as soon as we get to hear anything more about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8.
