Samsung has officially announced the new Galaxy Tab 2 and if it was a larger screen that you were waiting for, your wish has come true. Samsung will be launching two Galaxy Tab 2s: a 7” model which we already knew about and a larger 10.1” model.
The 10.1 inch version features the same hardware as the 7 inch version, so aside from the larger 10.1 inch PLS TFT display, with a resolution of 1280×800, there is also a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. You’ll also get a 3MP rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing camera, HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and a 7,000mAh battery.
It will be available in 16/32GB capacities with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. If that isn’t enough, Samsung’s ChatON messaging service is also preinstalled. Nothing on pricing yet, but we do know that both models of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will launch around the world in March, with the UK getting it first.
