Samsung is the best when it comes to OLED displays, but OLED technology has it’s challenges, For one, it is difficult to make in the higher pixel densities that traditional LCDs can achieve. However, according to Korean site etnews, Samsung has perfected their techniques to produce OLED screens at up to 350 ppi (The iPhone has a 326 ppi Retina display). This will deliver sharper text and images, which means a better looking display.
If we are lucky, maybe this means that Samsung phones will be coming with better screens later this year, but even if we have to wait longer, we will be happy to get them. Right now we have no word as to when these displays may be appearing in mass market phones and tablets.
Let’s hope they roll out the technology in its next line of flagship devices.
