Charging your mobile devices safely is more important than ever, after numerous smartphones have experience issues with batteries overheating and catching fire. One company looking to tackle this problem has created a new smart USB cable that is equipped with a number of safety features to try and reduce the likelihood of your smartphone overheating.
The Prufen Cable has been specifically designed with Auto-Stops that will automatically detect Overheating, Power Overload and Current Surge as well as being able to measure the mAh of your power bank.
Watch the video below to learn more about this safe and smart USB cable which is taken to Kickstarter to raise the required funds it needs to go into production. Its developers explain a little more about their Kickstarter campaign, the cables inspiration and more :
We launched Prufen Smart USB Cable in Singapore in Comex Exhibition in Sept 2016. The response was overwhelming with 70% of customers buying our product after seeing our product demonstrations. We are encouraged by this response and believe we have an winning product. We now want to progress forward to bring this product to key global markets.
Why we need funds:
1. We would like to sell our product in KickStarter to determine an acceptable price range and potential demand in key markets. With this information and fund, we can then approach key physical and online retailers to sell our product with READY stock.
2. This product is the World’s First USB cable with auto-stop charging safety features coupled with a Energy Charged Meter to measure the mAh of power banks and mobiles. Being a World’s First, it is absolutely critical to explain to potential customers of the product features. No customers will understand the product just by looking at it (unlike familiar products e.g. headphone, speaker, power bank…etc) We therefore need funds to develop and invest in effective marketing materials for both physical and online sales.
