While HTC One Max appears to be in focus, it seems the Taiwanese manufacturer is working on other devices as well. A new rumor from Taiwanese shores suggests that HTC is working on HTC Butterfly 2, a sequel to a fairly popular HTC Butterfly and Butterfly S. HTC Butterfly received quite a lot of praise in Asia, and it was launched in America as Droid DNA.
The rumor emerged from ePrice, a site with a hit-n-miss record when it comes to rumors, especially the ones that emerge from Taiwan. According the latest rumor, HTC Butterfly 2 is expected to bring high-end specifications including a Snapdragon 800 chipset and 5.2-inch 1080p display. The rumor also reveals that it will be waterproof, similar to all the Sony smartphones that are available in the market. There are no details about the other specifications HTC Butterfly 2 is expected to bring at the table.
The rumor suggests that the handset will see the daylight by the end of January 2014.
Just as a quick recall, rumors suggest that HTC is also working on a 6-inch phablet known as HTC One Max, which is expected to launch next month – possibly October 17 based on the latest rumors.
