Rocket League developer Psyonix has officially confirmed that the title will soon get PlayStation 4 Pro support.
It will release an update very soon that will help the game take full advantage of the greater performance offered by the most powerful PlayStation console that Sony has ever unleashed. The update is going to arrive on the same day that the Rocket League Hot Wheels DLC is released. So fans can look forward to both.
Psyonix will release an update for Rocket League on February 21st that will allow the game to run at both 1080p on a standard PS4 and 4K on the PlayStation 4 Pro at 60 frames per second in all arenas for single and two-player split-screen modes. Three and four-player split-screen modes will offer 60 frames per second in most arenas in the same resolutions as well. The update also includes PlayStation 4-specific technical improvements, multiple performance optimizations, and bug fixes.
Fans will be thrilled to also learn that the Hot Wheels DLC for Rocket League is also going to be released on February 21st. Some additional free Hot Wheels-themed post-match item drops including Toppers and Antennas are onboard here as well. That’s a lot for fans to get excited about.
