Today Ricoh have unveiled their new rugged camera, the PX Series, which has been built for the outdoors and hard wear. The new PX Series camera is designed to be waterproof, shockproof, and impermeable to dust, dirt, and sand. Advanced Technology and Features
On a technology front, the PX Series cameras are equipped with a 16-megapixel CCD sensor complete with Smooth Imaging Engine IV and a 5x optical wide zoom lens (28mm-140mm). This combination ensures high-quality images with vibrant colors and sharp details, even in challenging conditions. The camera’s lens offers a versatile zoom range, making it suitable for capturing wide landscapes as well as detailed close-ups.
They are also equipped with a range of 20 creative shooting modes including beach, snow, party, cooking, and night scene. These modes are designed to optimize the camera settings for different environments and subjects, ensuring that you get the best possible shot every time. For example, the beach mode enhances the blue of the sky and the water, while the snow mode adjusts the exposure to prevent the bright snow from washing out the image.
Durability and Design

The new range of PX Series adventure-proof cameras will be arriving later this month for around $300. They will come with an optional Protective Jacket PJ-1, available in five colors: yellow, pink, blue, brown, and white. Together with a Neck Strap ST-4 (option), also available in five colors: black, pink, blue, green, and brown, you can carry your camera comfortably and stylishly.
