Early last month Capcom told us that Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch (this was after the company had earlier stated that there were no plans to bring Resident Evil onto the Switch). What we didn’t know was when the games would be released.
According to a report from Famitsu, the Japanese dates for both games have been revealed to be November 30th. Sadly, there was no mention of when the games would be released in the US or for other markets around the world.
Sometimes games in Japan get an earlier release than in the west, but who knows. We are hoping that November 30th is a worldwide release. If not, fans in other markets will just have to wait.
Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 have been released for both the PS4 and Xbox One at the end of August, so Switch gamers have to wait quite a while before it is their turn. Maybe Capcom is testing the waters with the Switch release to see if future Resident Evil titles could eventually make it onto the console. When we hear more we will let you know. We do know it is on the way though.
