It has been ten years since the original Ghostbusters: The Video Game debuted and now, the game is back. And it is being remastered for PS4. The game should be available sometime later this year.
Interestingly, all of the original in-game videos were found on a hard drive that belongs to one of the Ghostbusters: The Video Game creators. So, you will have all of the familiar cutscenes remastered in 4K, with enhanced textures and lighting. And the voices and likeness of the original cast members are all here too: Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson. They were all involved in the 2009 game after all.
You’ll also be happy to know that the remastered version sticks to the original storyline, which was written by Aykroyd and Ramis. It picks up where Ghostbusters II left off, and you’ll join the cast members as a new recruit, learning to hunt and wrangle ghosts throughout New York City. It is a super fun game. The original game was available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, but this remaster looks like it is a PS4 exclusive. PlayStation says that the game should be ready sometime this year. I ain’t ‘fraid o no ghost!
