It has been almost ten years since Red Dead Redemption was released and if a new rumor is to be believed, Rockstar Games has some epic plans to celebrate the title’s tenth anniversary. Rumor says that there’s a Red Dead Redemption remake in the works and it could arrive by 2020. There has obviously been no confirmation about this from Rockstar Games so far.
This news comes from a Reddit user who claims to know one of Rockstar Games’ environment artists and he is choosing to remain anonymous. This source says that a full remake for Red Dead Redemption is being developed and that it will have all of the new features that are in Red Dead Redemption 2.
The story might be slightly changed in this remake so that the original connects better with the sequel. This anonymous Reddit user says that the title is scheduled for a release in late 2020. It may even come out in early 2021 if bugs are affecting the development. Apparently, 2/3 of the Red Dead Online team has been shifted to the remake to make sure that the project remains on track.
There’s no confirmation of any of this from Rockstar Games, so take it with a grain of salt for now.
